We walk by Faith
In his Second Letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul writes: "We are always confident; even though we know that while we are home in the body we are away from the Lord - for we walk by faith, not by sight." [2 Cor 5:6-7]
By this he did not mean we are separated because of sin but that our earthly life is marked by human limits to see God face to face.
Life events may challenge our faith. Doubts arise. Questions may go unanswered. Trusting in God in the midst of uncertainty may not come easily. Wishful thinking akes the place of faith. We distance ourselves from our community of faith, be it family or church.
We do walk by Faith. We do strive to trust in God's plan for us. We desire to be and do what God asks of us. We want to be disciples bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ into the world. We are meant to hand on our Faith.
Give yourself the gift of a retreat, invite a family member, ask a friend. This is the moment - the opportunity - to be renewed. This is the time to deepen your faith, so that your faith is strengthened for the journey.
