Retreat Theme:

By His Wounds You Are Healed

June 1-3, 2018

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness”. This is how the Apostle Peter introduces us not only to the facts of what Christ did for us, but the very purpose of why when he continues “for by His wounds you are healed”.(1 Peter 2:24)

Jesus Christ wants to heal us even more than we ourselves desire to be healed, or else he would not have paid such a price for our healing on the Cross!
Consider that we were saved even before we were ever aware of it. This healing is already extended to us in every way imaginable. We need to consider it, desire it, recognize it and accept it.
Our consideration may involve such questions as, “Do I need it?” St. Augustine’s wayward prayer prior to his conversion was, “Lord make me pure…but not yet.” (Confessions) He was unaware of how much he even needed God’s healing.

To develop a desire for healing, we must identify within ourselves what is most in need of the Savior’s touch in our life.

How will you recognize it? By standing in Its presence in the person of Jesus Christ Himself. How will you accept it? The motto of Blessed John Henry Newman in Latin says “cor ad cor loqitor,” which means “heart speaks to heart.”

We look forward to welcoming you with open arms here at the Spiritual Center. This is the time to deepen your faith, so that your faith is strengthened for the journey.

  1. A Thanksgiving Prayer,

This Thanksgiving let those of us who have much and those who have little gather at the welcoming table of the Lord. At this blessed feast, may rich and poor alike remember that we are called to serve on another and to walk together in God’s gracious world. With thankful hearts we praise our God who like a loving parent denies us no good thing.

We have so much to be thankful for it is impossible to write it all down,
Thank you Jesus for dieing on the cross for all of our sins.
Thank you Father God Jesus, and Holy Spirit for all your blessings the blessings we are aware of and the blessings we don’t even realize.
Thank you for all our brothers and sisters who are always here to help us, and each other.
Thank you for our Churches the Priest’s and their staff, and all the Ministries.
Thank you for our families who love and help us.
Thank you for all our children.
    Thank you for our freedom.
Thank you for all of creation.

    In Jesus Name we pray,

May God bless you, and your family,

Trust in God, Surrender to God, and be Humble….. AMEN!
